Anonymous Submission Rules

1. Be Honest, But Respectful

  • Be Authentic: Tell your story in detail. The more context you provide, the better the advice will be.

  • Zero Hate or Bullying: Submissions must not contain personal attacks, threats, or hate speech toward any individual or group (including yourself or family members). We reserve the right to discard any submission that violates this rule.

2. Focus on Your Experience

  • Keep it Personal: Please focus on your own feelings, actions, and situation. We cannot accept submissions that are primarily gossip or focused on critiquing a third party who is not involved in your immediate situation (e.g., criticizing a stranger's parenting).

  • Stick to One Issue: If you have multiple struggles, please use a separate submission for each. This allows me to give each topic the focused attention it deserves.

3. Understand the Boundaries (The Disclaimer)

  • Not a Crisis Hotline: If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, crisis, or feel unsafe, do not use this form. Please contact a professional hotline immediately (e.g., 988 in the US).

  • No Professionals Here: I am The Mom Who's Been There, not a licensed therapist, doctor, or lawyer. My advice is based on personal experience and opinion. By submitting, you understand that this is for informational and entertainment purposes only, and you accept responsibility for your own decisions.

4. Know Where Your Submission Goes

  • Publication: Submissions may be edited for clarity, length, and anonymity before being featured on the blog, social media, or other related content. By submitting, you give permission for your story to be shared (anonymously, of course).

  • No Guarantees: Due to the volume of submissions, I cannot guarantee that your question or story will be selected or answered, nor can I respond to submissions personally via email.
